Scott Cunningham (1956–1993) fue un influyente escritor estadounidense especializado en Wicca y magia natural. Estudió escritura creativa en la Universidad Estatal de San Diego, pero abandonó sus estudios para dedicarse por completo a la escritura. A lo largo de su carrera, publicó más de 50 libros, muchos de los cuales se han convertido en referencias fundamentales dentro del neopaganismo y la espiritualidad alternativa. Su enfoque accesible y práctico permitió que numerosos lectores se acercaran a la Wicca de manera individual y personalizada.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran Enciclopedia de las hierbas mágicas (1985), Wicca: Una guía para el practicante solitario (1988), El libro completo de inciensos, aceites e infusiones (1989) y Enciclopedia de cristales, gemas y metales mágicos (1987).
