This book explores how globalisation influences the understanding of law. William Lawrence Twining fue un jurista británico. Fue profesor Quain de Jurisprudencia en la Facultad de Derecho del University College de Londres, cargo que ocupó hasta 1996. Fue un miembro destacado del movimiento "Derecho en Contexto" y contribuyó especialmente a la jurisprudencia, la prueba, el método jurídico, la educación jurídica y la historia intelectual. La obra de Twining también se centró en la "globalización" y la teoría jurídica.
