You can get the monkey off your back, but the circus never leaves town. What a great analogy for addiction. Get that monkey off my back is a book written firstly from first-hand experience of addiction and recovery, a battle waged by Karl Newton the author for half his life time some 15/16 years. Secondly it is the result of hours of studying done by Karl into the subject, in the book Karl reports his findings as well as debating using his own opinions and views to really engage the reader into provoking thoughts and debate. The original basis of the book is Karl's blog which to date has had over 10,000 visits worldwide. The book does contain a few ideas and thoughts which Karl is passionate about and eager to campaign for.
