Clare Mackintosh es una autora británica nacida en Bristol, conocida por sus thrillers psicológicos y novelas de crimen. Antes de dedicarse a la escritura, trabajó durante doce años en la policía británica, desempeñándose en el Departamento de Investigación Criminal y como comandante de orden público. En 2011, dejó la fuerza policial para convertirse en escritora a tiempo completo.
