David Carson (nacido el 8 de septiembre de 1956 en Corpus Christi, Texas) es un destacado diseñador gráfico, tipógrafo y director de arte estadounidense. Antes de incursionar en el diseño, fue un surfista profesional, alcanzando el noveno lugar en el ranking mundial durante su etapa universitaria. Se graduó en Sociología en 1977 en la Universidad Estatal de San Diego.

Carson es reconocido por su enfoque innovador y experimental en el diseño gráfico, especialmente durante su trabajo en revistas como "Transworld Skateboarding" (1983-1987), "Beach Culture" (1989-1991) y "Ray Gun" (1992-1995). En 1995, publicó "The End of Print: The Graphic Design of David Carson", una recopilación de su trabajo que se convirtió en una referencia en el mundo del diseño.
