Raymond Briggs (1934-2022) fue un ilustrador y escritor británico reconocido por sus novelas gráficas y libros infantiles. Su obra más famosa es El muñeco de nieve (1978), una historia sin palabras que se convirtió en un clásico de la literatura infantil y fue adaptada a una película animada en 1982. También destacó con Cuando el viento sopla (1982), una novela gráfica de tono más adulto sobre las consecuencias de un ataque nuclear.
