Thomas J. Stanley (1944 - 28 de febrero de 2015) fue un escritor y teórico empresarial estadounidense, reconocido por sus estudios sobre la riqueza en Estados Unidos. Obtuvo un doctorado en administración de negocios por la Universidad de Georgia y enseñó marketing en diversas universidades, incluyendo la Universidad de Tennessee y la Universidad Estatal de Georgia.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentra "El millonario de al lado" (1996), coescrito con William D. Danko, que vendió más de dos millones de ejemplares.
