Reseña del libro "34 Flames of Divine Love: Elevations of the Heart Toward god by st. John Eudes (Eudist Prayerbook Series) (Volume 4) (en Inglés)"

"Among spiritual giants towers the figure of St. John Eudes." - Ven. Fulton J. Sheen In December 2016, Pope Francis accelerated a process to proclaim St. John Eudes a Doctor of the Church. In a few years he may be christened "Doctor Cordis" (the Doctor of the Heart), using the title given him by Pope St. Pius X: "the Father, Doctor, and Apostle of Devotion to the Hearts of Jesus & Mary." This series is an introduction to his spirituality, widely available in English for virtually the first time. In a few dense, passionate pages, St. John Eudes gives voice to the fullest, deepest, most vibrant expression of his mysticism. It expresses passionate love in a myriad of ways; both the love of God for humanity, and of this saint for the lover of his soul. Meditations include passages such as: - "Ignite in my soul, oh Jesus, a thirst so ardent for your holy love that I would consider it martyrdom just to love you insufficiently in return..." (p.4) - "You love, desire, and pursue me with such intensity, my Lord and my God... you fear to lose me as if I were a precious treasure..." (p.15) - "Everything in creation, all things visible and invisible, are so many voices by which You constantly cry out to me: 'I love you! I love you! Love me, for I have loved you first...'" (p.15) Check out our other prayerbooks on Amazon, as well as a short biography titled A Heart on Fire: St. John Eudes, Model of the New Evangelization.
