Reseña del libro "A God without a plan (en Inglés)"
This book offers a theodicy of loneliness and alterity. To take the evidential problem of evil seriously, we must abandon the idea that God has a plan for the material world. God creates not from a plan but from a motive: healing a loneliness prior to creation. Being purely immaterial, God lacks the causal interface and indexicality needed to cause material events, so cannot author a specific material script. Matter, with its risks, emerges from finite minds' relational desire to leave loneliness and meet one another. Natural evil is thus a necessary structural byproduct of materiality-the condition of genuine alterity-without appeal to Adam's fall, demons, Leibnizian optimization, soul-making, or skeptical theism. The book defends restricted omnipotence (full power over the immaterial as immaterial; over the material as incarnate) and non-experiential omniscience (God knows all propositional facts but does not introspect qualia, which would destroy creaturely alterity). It critiques eight families of theodicy-free will, Leibnizian optimization, soul-making, limited gods, protest, skeptical theism, Adams on horrendous evils and non-ideal theory, and non-Christian theodicies (karma, Ash'arism)-arguing each fails at least one of three criteria: explaining evil without unfathomable mystery, offering a relational motive for creation, and avoiding disproportion and the moral obscenity of over-explaining. It develops original arguments on incarnation, heaven and hell, prayer and miracle, animal ethics, AI, and panpsychism.
