During the mubaarak lifetime of Rasulullah [PBUH], there were many duas that he had made, imploring the help and assistance of Allah Ta'ala. These beautiful duas were preserved by the Sahaabah [RA] and passed on to the rest of the Ummah. Many of these duas are contained in the famous compilation "Al-Hizbul A'zam" prepared by the great Muhaddith, Mullah Ali Qaari [RA]. For centuries people have been reading and benefiting from this great book. The following are some of the specialties of this book:

1. Each day commences with the praises of Allah Ta'ala, Durood upon Rasulullah [PBUH] and begging Allah Ta'ala through His beautiful names.
2. A heading for each dua has been added so that the reader may easily know what dua he is reading.
3. Duas of a similar nature have been put together, e.g. the duas of forgiveness, duas for easy rizq, duas for aafiyah, etc.
4. The Saturday section contains mainly the duas of the Ambiyaa [AS] mentioned in the Qur-aan-e-Kareem.
5. The 40 Durood and Salaam has been added at the end of the booklet as the Friday section.
6. Each day's section has been divided equally, approximately 8-10 pages per day.
7. The benefits of the duas mentioned in the Hadith have also been added in the footnotes.

We make dua that Allah Ta'ala accepts this little booklet and makes it a means of gaining His closeness through these wonderful duas. Aameen.

Mullā ʿAlī al-Qārī (Ali ibn Sultan Muhammad al-Qari, c. 1526–1606) fue un renombrado erudito hanafí, nacido en Herat y activo en La Meca, conocido por su profundo dominio de la jurisprudencia islámica, el hadiz y la teología. Entre sus numerosas obras destaca "Al-Hizb al-Aʿẓam", una célebre recopilación de súplicas (duʿās) extraídas del Corán y de los hadices, organizada para su recitación diaria en la semana.

Esta obra pertenece al género religioso-devocional y sigue siendo ampliamente utilizada en contextos espirituales por musulmanes sunníes de distintas regiones. Mullā ʿAlī al-Qārī no recibió premios en vida (no era costumbre en su época), pero su legado ha perdurado con respeto dentro del pensamiento islámico clásico.
