Bargaining with the Father of the Apocalypse is a treasonous offense. But Mackenzie believes he's their only hope for survival. Dragging along her partner Bon for safety, she appeals to Leonard for help in turning the tide against the Revenants, only to be refused with a cryptic remark: Existence is futile. Branded traitors to their settlement, Bon is executed and Mackenzie is exiled.
