Therefore, leaders must gain and maintain the servant-leader character for which the entire world yearns. Secondary leadership in particular is not glamorous and is often thankless. Secondary leaders are uniquely challenged to prove credibility to their senior leaders, their followers, and the world-all at once. Many are demoralized, burned out, and in need of healing. Others have developed unhealthy dispositions and behaviors, needing admonition. We must help to rebuild credibility in leadership, remembering that our service is ultimately "unto the Lord." He is the first and final Judge. The leader that He finds credible is the one all others can trust.
