​Robert C. Martin, conocido como "Uncle Bob", es un reconocido ingeniero de software estadounidense con una carrera que abarca desde 1970. Fundó Uncle Bob Consulting, LLC, y cofundó, junto a su hijo Micah Martin, The Clean Coders, LLC, ambas enfocadas en la mejora de prácticas de desarrollo de software.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentra "Código limpio: Manual de estilo para el desarrollo ágil de software" (2008), un referente en la artesanía del software. Otros títulos notables son "El limpiador de código: Código de conducta para programadores profesionales" (2011) y "Diseño funcional: Principios, patrones y prácticas" (2017). Martin es también coautor del Manifiesto Ágil y ha contribuido significativamente al desarrollo de principios de diseño de software, como los principios SOLID.
