Dave Marshall is, in technical terms, absolutely fucked.

Trapped in a soul-crushing Manchester call center and drowning in overdue utility bills, twenty-eight-year-old Dave spends his mornings counting thirty-seven cracks in his bedroom ceiling. From the grime of street corners to the warmth of a quiet café, Dave must decide if a mundane existence of "ceramics and bins and toast" is worth fighting for.
