Während neue Automobilmärkte zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen, wachsen die Absatzzahlen in den etablierten Märkten nur sehr schwach oder stagnieren sogar. Als Einführung in die Thematik der Analyse und Vorhersage der globalen Entwicklung der Automobilmärkte erfolgt zu Beginn dieser Arbeit zunächst eine Betrachtung des Status Quo der automobilen Märkte in den BRIC-Staaten - Brasilien, Russland, Indien und China - sowie in Deutschland und den USA als zentrale Untersuchungsregionen der vorliegenden Arbeit. Vor dem Hintergrund der Erkenntnisse des gegenwärtigen Marktgeschehens bilden die Vorstellung der Zielsetzung und Untersuchungshypothese sowie die Erläuterung des Aufbaus der Arbeit den Abschluss des Einführungskapitels. The present master thesis pursues the target to analyze the global development of the automotive market. In times of urbanization, industrialization of emerging countries and the increasing acceptance of the population and industry towards innovative mobility concepts the worldwide automotive industry is driven by a significant change of structure. Against this backdrop, the aim of the master thesis focusing the investigation of the hypothesis that the BRIC countries will growing up to the engine of the global automotive market in the future. In order to evaluate the hypothesis, forecasts regarding the future development of the new passenger car registrations as an indicator of the national automotive demand in the investigated regions of the established automotive nations - presented by Germany and the United States - and the BRIC counties as representatives of the emerging economies will be created.
