Kate Raworth (nacida el 13 de diciembre de 1970) es una economista inglesa que sacudió el tablero con su teoría de la economía rosquilla (“Doughnut Economics”), un modelo que busca equilibrar las necesidades humanas esenciales sin sobrepasar los límites del planeta. Estudió PPE (Política, Filosofía y Economía) y luego Economía del Desarrollo en la Universidad de Oxford con honores, y trabajó en microempresas en Zanzíbar, fue coautora del Informe de Desarrollo Humano para la ONU y pasó una década como investigadora senior en Oxfam.

Su libro Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st-Century Economist (2017) —en español Economía rosquilla: 7 maneras de pensar la economía del siglo XXI— se convirtió en un best-seller internacional y redifinió el significado de prosperar en un planeta finito. Fue long-listed para el Financial Times & McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award en 2017 y ganó el Transmission Prize en 2018, además de recibir menciones como Libro del Año por The Sunday Times, Financial Times y Forbes. También ha sido reconocida con un doctorado honoris causa por la Business School Lausanne en 2017 y otro por la University College Dublin en 2024.-
