$ 999From the Tower to the Throne is both a book of poems born from the ashes of burning your own life down to survive and a chronicling of the journey through the underworld to the exhilaration of the first breaths after rebirth.
Written in the devastation of discovering a betrayal, the book charts the blinding descent into heartbreak, the wreckage left behind, the weight of uprooting a family, the strength it took do what needed to be done, and the long, winding path back to self:
rediscovering all the parts that were suppressed to survive, the joy of tasting freedom and truly living from soul, the hope and healing that came after, and the absolute triumph of pulling it off.
The title is a play on Rapunzel's prison in the fairy tale and The Tower tarot card.
The book is structured in 4 sections of poems that trace the heroine's journey from heartwrenching loss and rage to victory:
•Off the Tower- The Tower card moment, an entire reality being destroyed before your eyes and burning down with it
•Through the Woods- getting back up, moving forward even when feeling lost, carrying strength through the numbing sadness, birth of a mission
•Aphrodite Awakens- new love! A heart awakens, a hand reaches out and finds another. Experiences in love, crushes, disappointments, discoveries, learning to love yourself first, coming back to life after suffering death
•Onto the Throne- The Empress has arrived! Claiming the throne of one's own life, realizing your worth, healing, self love, reflection, celebration of a vision accomplished, victory at long last
It's a journey through righteous fury and transformative grief, survival and reclamation, the stirring of forgotten desires and latent joy, and the ultimate triumph of self-sovereignty.
These poems are about what happens when a woman refuses to stay small, "good", and silent.
They're about reclaiming your voice, your choice, and your right to live fully. This is the story every woman knows of breaking free from the prison you never realized you were in and rising, piece by raw piece, into the unstoppably powerful woman you were always meant to be.
