English summary: This is the fourth installment of the collected works of Reinhold Bichler and contains twelve articles that examine ancient historiography, in addition to a study on the historical reception of Alexander the Great's empire, published for the most part between 2003 and 2014. A clear theme of this collection is the examination of ancient historiography, especially concerning the reception of Herodotus and Ctesias, as well as the biographies of Alexander, the construction of the image of "the Orient" and the antagonism between Europe and Asia in ancient history and historical thinking. German description: Der nunmehr vierte Teil der Gesammelten Schriften Reinhold Bichlers versammelt und erschliesst zwolf Studien zur antiken Historiografie sowie eine Studie zur Rezeptionsgeschichte des Alexanderreiches; sie sind zum Teil an entlegenerer Stelle zwischen 2003 und 2014 publiziert worden. Einen gewissen thematischen Schwerpunkt bilden im Bereich der antiken Historiografie Studien zu Herodot und Ktesias sowie die Alexanderhistoriografen. Daruber hinaus nehmen die Beitrage vor allem die Erfassung von Raum und Zeit in der antiken Historiografie sowie die Konstruktion des Orientbildes und des darin enthaltenen Antagonismus zwischen Europa und Asien in den Blick.
