Istar of Babylon. A Phantasy (en Inglés) - Margaret Horton Potter; TBD

An ancient world of gods and mortals comes alive in a tale of power, desire, and divine mystery.

In Istar of Babylon: A Phantasy by Margaret Horton Potter, the splendour and intrigue of ancient Babylon form the backdrop for a richly imagined story shaped by myth, ritual, and human ambition.

At the centre stands Istar-the powerful and enigmatic goddess whose influence touches every corner of life, from love and fertility to war and destruction. Through the lives of priests, rulers, and those caught between devotion and desire, the novel explores how divine will and human action become inseparably entwined.

As loyalties shift and passions intensify, the presence of the goddess is felt not only in temples and ceremonies, but in the inner lives of those who seek her favour-or fear her power. The boundaries between the mortal and the divine grow uncertain, and each character must confront the consequences of devotion, ambition, and fate.

Blending historical setting with mythological imagination, Istar of Babylon offers a vivid and atmospheric re-creation of an ancient civilization, where the gods are near, their influence immediate, and the cost of their favour never small.
