Reseña del libro "It's Not Your Fault: Helping Children Understand It's Not Their Fault When Adults Leave (en Inglés)"

It's Not Your Fault: Helping Children Know It's Not Their Fault When Adults Leave When a grown-up leaves through separation, divorce, or circumstance, children often carry a weight they were never meant to hold. They quietly wonder, "Was it something I did?" It's Not Your Fault gently guides young hearts toward one simple, life-changing truth: you are not the reason they left. Through warm watercolor illustrations and tender storytelling, this book gives caregivers and children a safe space to name big feelings, release guilt, and begin healing together. Written to be read aloud, side by side, it opens the door to conversations that are often hard to start on your own. This book was born from the countless children Maxine has sat with who carried guilt that was never theirs to hold. When a parent leaves through divorce, separation, incarceration, or the quiet distance of emotional absence, children often turn the pain inward. This story is her answer to that question, written for caregivers to read alongside their children, so that hard feelings can be named, a child's sense of worth can be restored, and the slow, sacred work of healing can begin together. About the Author Maxine Golden is a registered marriage and family therapist intern pursuing licensure, a life coach, parent coach, and PhD student in temperament theory, as well as an adoptive parent with over 25 years of experience walking alongside families. She specializes in attachment, trauma, and brain-informed care, with clinical training in Brainspotting and somatic approaches. She is the founder of Center for Parent Coaching, Brainspotting & Therapy LLC.
