At an early age, two things bothered me that I never shared with anyone. One, I recognized that my family structure was a bit different. Secondly, I was threatened to hold a secret; one which lasted for over thirty years. As an adolescent, I acted out sexually. The relationship or lack thereof with my parents was strained. Neither of them ever hugged or kissed me. Therefore, I looked for love in all the wrong places. I wasn't capable of loving anyone because I was never taught how to love myself. I was introduced to marijuana, alcohol, snorting cocaine-then freebasing it. My life soon became unmanageable. After going in and out of relationships and treatment several times, I felt somewhat more confident only to return to my familiar. I sought psychiatric treatment only to be told that nothing was wrong with me. I only needed to laugh at my mistake and seek spiritual guidance. Shortly after being arrested and released, I became pregnant for the third time. This book is Me Uncovered.
