Portals is Ann's written response to her longtime yoga students, some of whom occasionally asked, "Could you just come home with me?" Many of these meditations are about how we think-how much negative thinking we are engaged in and how to go about turning harmful, destructive, and negative thoughts into healthy, productive, and positive ones. Some portals investigate ideas that can bring us to another level of consciousness. This is a book you'll refer to for many years to come. A few of the 52 meditations are: -Attention Without Tension -The Blanket of Peace -Holding An Orange -Overcoming Unhappiness -Your Personal Rhythm -Path to the Heart of Love -Sing This Song Ann Higgins has been teaching yoga for over forty years. She met her teacher and spiritual guide Gurani Anjali in 1969 and became part of a community that created a non-profit center providing instruction and education in yoga, meditation, and philosophy. Ann formed Mountain Lotus Yoga and Meditation upon moving to Arizona in the early 1980s.
