Reseña del libro "Selva - Inside The Training Room (en Inglés)"

In December 2020, James Doran won an All-Ireland senior medal with Dublin. A few months later he sat alone in the dunes on the north Dublin coast and wondered whether his life was worth living. Both of those things are true, and both are in this book.Selva is an honest account of burnout, panic, and the slow work of putting yourself back together. Told across the years James spent training as a counsellor and psychotherapist while teaching full time in a primary school, it moves from the pitch to the training room, from the weight of performing to the quieter work of learning to ask for help.It is a book about the pressure so many of us carry in sport and in life, where the very drive that makes you good can leave you with nowhere to turn when it all goes wrong. It is about what we carry, why we carry it, and what changes when we finally set some of it down.Raw, reflective and ultimately hopeful, Selva is for anyone who has worn a brave face while struggling underneath it, and for anyone who loves someone who has.
