English summary: The first interpretation of the oeuvre of German Baltic theologian and social ethicist Alexander von Oettingen (1827-1905) presents it as the first systematic formation of a theology of the cross and of social ethics. In it coincide the genesis of a fundamental theological understanding of theologia crucis after the Enlightenment and of an empirically accounted social ethics. For the first time in modern theology the expression theology of the cross receives the rank of a fundamental guiding concept and becomes explicated as full dogmatics. At the same time the very first introduction of the concept of social ethics into theological discourse takes place, in intensive engagement with evolving empirical social sciences. Thomas-Andreas Per investigates these basic orientations, the relation of which becomes visible as solidary tolerance. The terms "tolerance" and "solidarity" play an important role in von Oettingens theology, which is particularly sensible for the situation of religious and ideological pluralism. German description: Die erstmalige Interpretation des Gesamtwerkes des deutsch-baltischen Theologen Alexander von Oettingen (1827-1905) stellt es als systematische Erstgestalt einer Kreuzestheologie und Sozialethik dar. Darin koinzidieren die Genese einer fundamentaltheologischen Kreuzestheologie nach der Aufklarung und einer empirisch ausgewiesenen Sozialethik. Thomas-Andreas Poder untersucht diese Grundorientierungen, deren Zusammenhang als "solidarische Toleranz" sichtbar wird. Die Begriffe "Toleranz" und "Solidaritat" spielen eine wichtige Rolle in von Oettingens Theologie, die sich durch eine besondere Sensibilitat fur die Situation religios-weltanschaulichen Pluralismus auszeichnet.
