Stanisław Lem (1921-2006) fue un escritor polaco destacado en la literatura de ciencia ficción. Nacido en Leópolis, desarrolló una prolífica carrera literaria que exploró temas como la cibernética, la comunicación y la condición humana. Su obra se caracteriza por un profundo sentido filosófico y, en ocasiones, un tono humorístico.

Entre sus obras más reconocidas se encuentran Solaris (1961), Ciberíada (1965) y El Congreso de Futurología (1971), todas en el género de ciencia ficción. Además, escribió ensayos como Summa Technologiae (1964), donde reflexiona sobre el futuro de la tecnología. Su legado literario ha influido significativamente en la ciencia ficción contemporánea.
