Reseña del libro "Stone Edda: Book 1"
Ever wonder where or how our fantasies and fairytales began? Perhaps they’ve always lived as more than just some author’s documented whims. And now a fourteen-year-old girl, seeking refuge in the tales of Middle-earth must reckon with the truth: her family’s gone, but not the ghosts who constantly observe. What’s worse, our age is coming to a close. To be replaced by magic intolerant of those who stifle its return. But first, the girl will learn what family means, and what it can become. Forced to live with a grandfather she never knew she had, she unearths the facts of what had really happened to the Dwarves and Elves, and all the other creatures of our past. She also soon discovers their magic never really left. Instead, it’s gaining all its strength and choking off our world. Unless, of course, Dagny and her unexpected friends can save our home from so much old misshapen magic swiftly seeping in. But will a grieving girl find the fortitude to save a broken world, or will she let the legends she so loves swallow everything she’s ever known? Deep in the untamed Canadian wilds, where magic strives to hang on to its frontier past, a girl must choose between her family and all the myths we'd thought we lost. Or never knew we had. The Stone Edda is for fans of middle-earth, mythic Americana, or any other fantasies and fairytales, who've always dreamed those magical realms might prove something more than simply make-believe.
