The elderly population is constantly on the rise. On the other hand, the elderly do not always receive due attention, both in terms of the losses that occur as a result of the ageing process, which reflect on their autonomy and independence, and the initiatives to combat this. This book deals with topics related to the well-being of the elderly, specifically quality of life expressed by physiological, psychological and social parameters, and physical exercise as a means of making ageing healthier. This book leads the reader to understand the importance of systematized strength training, through bodybuilding, aimed at increasing muscle strength, since the loss of muscle motor units (Sarcopenia) and the drop in recruitment of these units (Dynapenia), directly interfere with the ability of the elderly to perform activities of daily living, and consequently, their quality of life. This book is aimed at health professionals and scholars who identify with the elderly and seek to provide them with a better quality of life at this stage.
