If we stop to think about it, for many Christians today the history of the Church seems to contain a great gap. We know the Gospels well, we follow the life of Jesus and His disciples, and then we immerse ourselves in the letters of Paul and the events recorded in Acts of the Apostles. But what happened afterward? What came after the "final period" of the Book of Acts? How did a small group of followers of a crucified teacher on the fringes of the Roman Empire become the faith that would transform the world?

This book distills a series of debates - our "informal conversations" - about the extraordinary rise of Christianity, from the Resurrection of Christ to the conversion of Emperor Constantine the Great. This period, so often overlooked, is essential for understanding how a marginal movement became the dominant faith of the Western world.

Our goal is to guide the reader through these three centuries of formation, highlighting the principal figures involved: from the heroes of the faith and the architects of Christian doctrine to those who, through their ideas, departed from the orthodoxy then taking shape. It is an essential journey that recovers the story of the resilience and triumph of the Early Church.
