Florence Scovel Shinn (Camden, Nueva Jersey, 1871 – Nueva York, 1940) fue una artista, ilustradora y escritora estadounidense, destacada en el movimiento del Nuevo Pensamiento. Tras iniciar su carrera como ilustradora en publicaciones como Harper’s, se convirtió en maestra espiritual y autora de obras metafísicas que combinan enseñanzas cristianas con principios de afirmación y pensamiento positivo.

Entre sus obras más influyentes se encuentran El juego de la vida y cómo jugarlo (1925), Tu palabra es tu varita mágica (1928) y La puerta secreta al éxito (1940). También se publicaron póstumamente El poder de la palabra hablada (1945) y El camino mágico de la intuición (2013). Sus libros, centrados en espiritualidad y desarrollo personal, siguen siendo referentes en el ámbito de la autoayuda y la metafísica.
