Thankfully, she remembers what her mama told her about her eyes being unique and special. She uses her words to tell her classmates that she is confident about her eyes, and they realize that they too, are unique and special, even though they are different. In the end, Le'len and her new friends play nicely together, no matter how different they are. This encouraging story ends with questions that creates conversation between parents and their kids about coping with the shame we all feel when being excluded because we are different from others.
