Her first week was poison - literally - her partner, her daughter and herself. Chief LaSalle receives a text naming the murders, 'The Molly Murders' after the discovery of a third body at The Varsity Bar. Aubree and her partner Matt narrowly escape when a bomb placed under their vehicle explodes after they use the universities untraceable computers under Manning Hall. Chief LaSalle places his team, along with Aubree's daughter and her boyfriend, and team member, Levin Bourgeois' computer genius younger brother in a safe house. After receiving a message sent on her iPad to meet the sender in the back parking lot of the Police Department Aubree and her partner Matt devise a plan. Chief LaSalle overhears their plan and pulls rank leaving Aubree out of the plan. After the Monday morning briefing Aubree walks out to her car in the back parking lot where she's knocked unconscious and brought to a downtown Baton Rouge warehouse. Chief LaSalle holds a press conference misinforming the public that two of his team members, Aubree Blanchard and Matt Lavigne committed the Molly Murders. He and Matt rush to the downtown warehouse where the killer holds Aubree captive. With two people shot and left for dead, what happens next is a twist of an ending discovering who the killer is and what comes next.
