Here we encounter a poet -interpreting the self-evident history of a downcast nation- with the eyes of the good son, with the heart of the lover, the passion of the artist, the curiosity of the scientist; trying to give the best answer to help pave that path to which Gandhi calls peace. And so does the poet, promoting the well-being of his homeland -Nicaragua- and exhorting key international nations to "shake hands with the people (not the tyrant) with unclenched fists."
