Guy Parker-Rees (nacido en 1959 en Zimbabue) es un ilustrador y escritor británico de libros infantiles, reconocido por su estilo vibrante y expresivo. Se trasladó a Inglaterra a los tres años y estudió Literatura y Filosofía en la Universidad de York. Antes de dedicarse a la ilustración, trabajó como pintor de murales, profesor de arte y terapeuta artístico en un centro de servicios sociales .

Desde 1989, Parker-Rees ha ilustrado más de 40 libros, destacando Giraffes Can’t Dance (1999), escrito por Giles Andreae, que se ha convertido en un bestseller internacional con más de 4 millones de copias vendidas . Otras obras notables incluyen Spookyrumpus, ganador de premios como el Sheffield Book Award, y Elephant Me, publicado por Little Tiger Press .
