This perversion of the gospel is evident in the bondage prevalent in the masses which profess to know Christ. This is what the Apostle Paul warned about in his letter to the Colossians when he wrote, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." (Colossians 2:8 KJV) False religions abound because they teach a gospel which bypasses the suffering of the flesh, which is the working of the cross. Christ is clear, only he that loses his life can find it. The gospel of Christ is empowering and liberating. "Unleashing the Gospel of Christ" is the sword of the spirit cutting between the soulish and spiritual, the earthly and the divine, to amplify the true message of Christ, to bring liberation to the captives and edification to the Church. They who hunger and thirst after righteousness truly will be fed. GOD is faithful to keep His promises.
