Where Ravens and Lions Fall (en Inglés) - Glen Hatcher

Two boys. Two peoples. One war that will consume everything they love.

England, AD 872.

Fourteen-year-old Eirik Sigurdsson crosses the North Sea with his Viking father, dreaming of land, honour and a future worth fighting for.

Across the English countryside, Edmund of Aescford is learning a different lesson: that a man’s greatest duty is to protect the people who call his land home.

Neither boy knows the other’s name.

Neither knows how deeply their lives will become entwined.

As Viking armies sweep across England and King Alfred struggles to defend his kingdom, both young men grow into husbands, fathers and leaders. They build homes, forge friendships and discover that love can demand more courage than any battlefield.

But war has a way of turning honour into hatred.

When devastating losses tear their families apart, grief becomes vengeance, loyalty becomes a dangerous burden, and two once-decent men begin making choices that threaten everything they originally fought to protect.

Across twenty-one years of conquest, uneasy peace, betrayal and brutal warfare, their separate journeys draw towards a reckoning neither can escape.

Different gods. Different banners. The same human cost.

Where Ravens and Lions Fall is a sweeping, emotionally powerful Viking-Saxon historical epic about fathers and sons, friendship, love, revenge and the terrible price of a war that neither side can truly win.

Some kingdoms are written in blood.
